Linking my Classroom to the World

I am a secondary English teacher at Ord Public Schools, a small, rural school in central Nebraska. I earned a BA in English from Nebraska Wesleyan University and an MA in English literature from the University of Nebraska at Kearney; 2021-22 is my 16th year as an educator.

I endeavor to provide domestic and international travel opportunities to help my students see more of the world and interact with diverse people and cultures.  I have a passion for global education and, in addition to taking post-masters classes on the subject, was awarded a 2019-20 Qatar Foundation International grant to experience and learn about Arab culture.

In addition to traveling, I enjoy time with my family, kayaking, working with technology, reading, and learning about the world and other cultures.

Learn about my travel history, life in the classroom, and more in my blog.
